Time commitment: Ongoing through the October 2026 flagship event (plus salon events as scheduled)
Role Purpose
TEDxOrlando is seeking a relationship-driven Partnerships & Sponsorships Manager to lead sponsorship strategy and outreach, securing cash and in-kind partners that align with TEDx values and elevate the attendee experience.
You’ll build and manage a strong pipeline, lead sponsor conversations from outreach through to commitment, and ensure a smooth handoff to the Partner Success Manager for onboarding and fulfillment—helping set up both short-term delivery and long-term partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & pipeline

Build and manage a partnership pipeline (prospects → outreach → proposals → close).

Identify best-fit sponsors/partners across Central Florida.
-
Recommend tiers, benefits, and in-kind opportunities with the organizing team.
Outreach, pitching & closing
-
Lead outreach via email, LinkedIn, calls, and in-person networking.

Deliver confident pitches and coordinate sponsor meetings with Liam/Nick as needed.

Negotiate within agreed parameters; help move deals to agreement and payment.

Facilitate the conversation process and agreement steps (clear next steps, timelines, and follow-up).
Handoff & delivery (with Partner Success Manager)

Create a clear handoff: sponsor goals, deliverables, assets, timelines, and key contacts.

Coordinate sponsor fulfillment (logos, mentions, tickets, hospitality, activations).

Maintain sponsor stewardship through updates and check-ins.
Internal coordination

Provide weekly pipeline updates; maintain accurate tracking/documentation.

Coordinate with marketing/comms on sponsor assets and acknowledgements.

Maintain clear visibility into pipeline status, next steps, and conversion progress.

Secure meaningful cash + in-kind support, with smooth sponsor onboarding and fulfilment.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Partnerships/sales/sponsorship experience (events, media, nonprofit, agency, or corporate).

Strong Orlando/Central Florida network; confident building new relationships locally.

Persuasive communicator with a premium, professional approach (not pushy).
