Location: Orlando, FL (hybrid OK; local knowledge preferred)

Works closely with: Liam Rogers, Angela Robbins

Time commitment: Ongoing through the October 2026 flagship event (plus salons as scheduled)

Role Purpose

Help TEDxOrlando grow awareness and ticket momentum for our October 2026 flagship event by planning and publishing consistent, high-quality marketing across social channels (and supporting aligned messaging across email/web where needed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a simple content plan + weekly cadence (speaker announcements, behind-the-scenes, sponsor highlights, ticket pushes).

  • Write, schedule, and publish posts across key channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook).

  • Coordinate assets with design/creative (templates, graphics, short-form video support).

  • Capture/repurpose content from salons, meetings, rehearsals, and speaker moments (where available).

  • Support sponsor deliverables (mentions/spotlights) in coordination with Partner Success.

  • Share a short weekly update: what shipped, what’s next, what’s working, any blockers.

  • Consistent posting cadence and a clear, professional brand voice.

  • Growing engagement and attention in Central Florida.

  • Speaker/sponsor moments turned into strong content quickly.

  • Marketing activity that supports steady ticket momentum over time.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in social media/content/marketing/comms (agency, in-house, nonprofit, creator).

  • Strong writing + messaging instincts; understands what performs on social.

  • Organised, reliable, deadline-driven, and comfortable owning a content calendar.

  • Collaborative, values-led, and able to work with fast feedback.
